Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. As a matter of fact there are self-care options that can be accomplished at home and in 30 minutes or less! I tend to lean towards these options as a busy woman, wife, and mom so I decided to share them with you.

 

  1. Walk outdoors
  2. Hot shower
  3. Warm bath
  4. Facial
  5. Foot soak and scrub
  6. Pedicure
  7. Manicure
  8. Journal
  9. Read for leisure
  10. Listen to a podcast
  11. Prayer
  12. Mindfulness moment
  13. Self talk (recite scripture or positive affirmation)
  14. Diffuse essential oils
  15. Light a scented candle with a soothing scent
  16. Power nap
  17. Drink a soothing or refreshing beverage
  18. Full body stretch
  19. Breathing exercises
  20. Work on a relaxing project (crafting, gardening, etc.)

 

Prioritizing self-care can be challenging but I can honestly say that I often struggle with making the time. I am also guilty of overthinking self-care. Determining the simple things that add value, reduce stress, and cultivate calm help me to make time for myself.
